An attempt to bring to people the ancient art form and handmade from various corners of the Country.

Meet Anita Jha & Madhavi Jha Indian Entrepreneurs Founders of Aaahanaa Heritage Foundation. ( Art Speaks Where Words Fail )

About there journey –

“We have a defence background and have travelled all over the country, hence patriotism is in the family. So the urge to do something for society was inculcated in us since childhood. Since childhood, we had a dream to do something for the country and society at large and both of us got involved in many social causes and we worked on it in our ways. Aahanaa Heritage Foundation wasborn from an ardent desire to create a larger canvas than what exists today, for all the beautiful and unparalleled creativity that the simple artisans of India have been quietly perfecting for centuries. We started our journey from the Eastern part of our country covering various art forms like Sholapith craft from Shantiniketan and more.

We also hope to be able to raise the dignity of the Indian artisan in our small way. Our the objective is to feature Indian art and craft in its most unique and contemporary form. Since, most of our heritage artists live in remote areas, as this profession runs in families and passed from one generation to another, our first and foremost task was to research these ancient art forms and check for the artists. Hence One of our missions is also to make ordinary people aware of the rich heritage our country has. Of course, we have taken the help of social media in the process, where we make small videos and tell about the art form and its history in small and interesting ways. We are also trying to involve people in the process. Like designing your saree.

Our business is an attempt to bring to people the ancient art form and handmade from various corners of the County as Art is the soul of any country.

Our message is, go for a hand-made product because of the thoughtfulness and love that’s gone into making it and also be a heritage saviour.”
